About

We put the miles in so you don't have to.

Stride Archive is an independent running gear publication. We test shoes, apparel, nutrition, GPS watches and accessories on real roads, trails and race courses — then write down what actually happened. No press-release reviews, no brand sponsorships, no "top 10" lists padded with filler.

How we test

Every product we recommend has been run in for a minimum of 50 miles by a member of our team, across at least two conditions (e.g. road and track, or dry and wet trail). We log weight, fit, durability and the subjective stuff that matters — how a shoe feels at mile 22, whether a watch's GPS holds in the trees.

How we make money

This site is reader-supported through the Amazon Associates program. When you click a "Check Current Price" button and buy a qualifying product on Amazon, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you. It does not influence which products we recommend — the testing comes first, always.

Why no prices?

Amazon's prices change constantly. Rather than show stale numbers, we link you straight to the current listing. The button says "Check Current Price" because that's exactly what it does.

If we wouldn't run in it ourselves, it doesn't make the archive.
