Trail vs Road Shoes: Do You Really Need Both?
We ran 100 miles in each to find out where the crossover ends and the danger begins.
By Stride Archive Editors

The short version
Trail shoes on road and road shoes on trail — we did both, badly, so you don't have to. Here's where the line actually is.
The crossover zone

Bottom line
